Welcome to the Writers' Center Appointment Scheduling System! To get started, register for an account by clicking the “Register for an account" link to the left. If you have already registered, please check your registration information each semester to be sure that it is current.
The Writers’ Center is currently offering three different appointment options: Online, eTutoring and Face-to-face. Students interested in sending a draft to receive electronic feedback within 24 hours should make an eTutoring appointment, and students who are interested in meeting in real-time with a consultant in an audio/video/chat window should make an Online appointment. Face-to-face appointments are held in WL206.
Important: All students should book a 60-minute appointment unless they only have a few quick questions and want to talk in real-time. Students with a draft to review and students booking eTutoring appointments in general should book the full 60 minutes.
Questions, concerns, problems, or needs not met by this schedule? Email the director, Dr. Jessica Ganni at jessica.ganni@laroche.edu with any issues.
Making Appointments: Once you have registered, you can sign up for an appointment by selecting an open (white) appointment timeslot on the schedule and answering a few questions about what help you need.
As you fill out the appointment information, please consult your official schedule to ensure you record accurate course names, numbers, etc. Correcting inaccurate information may delay the start of your appointment.
***Please remember to bring/attach all relevant materials to your appointment (e.g., your paper as well as your teacher’s writing assignment and/or rubric).
Cancellation/No-Show Policy: If you need to cancel an appointment, simply sign in and click on your appointment. Then, click the “cancel this appointment” button at the bottom of the form. Please do this as early as possible to allow other students to use the timeslot.
If you will be late, please notify the director/your consultant. Without notification, after 15 minutes your appointment will be marked as a “no-show” and canceled.
After 3 no-shows, you will be unable to make appointments until speaking to the director, who may only allow you to have walk-in appointments for the rest of the semester.
No appointment available? Consider adding your name to the waitlist. On the schedule, just click on the waitlist link beneath the day you want and fill out the form. You will be notified if someone cancels an appointment in your desired timeslot(s).
