Welcome to the Writers' Center Appointment Scheduling System! To get started, register for an account by clicking the “Register for an account" link to the left.

If you have already registered, please check your registration information each semester to be sure that it is current.

To make an appointment: Once you have registered, you can sign up for an appointment by selecting an open (white) appointment timeslot on the schedule and answering a few questions about what help you need.

Appointments are typically 30 or 60 minutes long, so you may adjust the start and end times of an appointment accordingly. (We can allow longer appointments by request if needed for graduate students and those with special circumstances.)

Note: As you fill out the appointment information, please consult your official schedule to ensure you record accurate course names, numbers, etc. Correcting inaccurate information may delay the start of your appointment.

***Please remember to bring all relevant materials to your appointment (e.g., your writing assignment and/or rubric; your text, materials, or sources; any notes or your draft in progress).

Questions, concerns, or system problems? Please feel free to call us at 412-536-1230, stop in our office in the Huber Academic Center Room 203 (HAC 203), or email our director, Dr. Jessica Ganni at with any issues.

Cancellation/No-Show Policy: If you need to cancel an appointment, simply sign in and click on your appointment. Then, click the “cancel this appointment” button at the bottom of the form. Please do this as early as possible to allow other students to use the timeslot.

If you will be late, please contact our office at 412-536-1230. If you do not call, after 10 minutes for 30-minute appointments or 15 minutes for 60-minute appointments, your appointment will be marked as a “no-show” and canceled.

After 3 no-shows, you will be unable to make appointments until speaking to the director, who may only allow you to have walk-in appointments for the rest of the semester.

No appointment available? Consider adding your name to the waitlist. On the schedule, just click on the waitlist link beneath the day you want and fill out the form. You will be notified if someone cancels an appointment in your desired timeslot(s).

Difficulty meeting face-to-face? While face-to-face appointments are the best, if you are a graduate student or a student registered in an online program or class at La Roche, we can offer other options if you are unable to meet face-to-face. Contact the director to discuss these options which include Online tutoring (meeting together in an online platform with audio/video capabilities) or eTutoring (submitting a document for typed feedback).

Having trouble logging in? Enter your email address below and then click "Reset Password." The system will immediately email you with instructions for changing your password. If you do not receive that email in a few minutes, please check your spam filter.

Receiving unwanted text messages from this system? This system can send appointment reminder and waiting list notifications via text message, but only if a cell phone number and carrier is entered by a client when creating or updating an account on the system.

If you have an account on the system, log in to edit your profile and modify your cell phone preferences. If you do not have an account on this system, it's possible that your cell phone number was entered accidentally. Fill out the form below to remove your number immediately.
